Albany Bulb is a great place to paint on chunks of cement. However, painting on rocks in their natural setting (like at the beach or out in nature) is totally lame. It seems to me that most graffiti faces almost always look the same, droopy eyes with a pathetic expression. Is this a coincidence? Is this what all graffiti painters are trying to express? Or is everybody following the same formula/generic style? Please educate me!
Here is a piece I did in Bolinas. I am making fun of all the generic graffiti faces I see painted everywhere. I find it troubling that I hardly ever see anything interesting or unique. Does this guy look troubled? What do you think?
